We give because God gave first

The Bible teaches that the earth and everything in it belongs to the Lord. Flowing from this truth is the reality that God does not need anything from us. So when He directs His people to give of their resources, whether through the Old Testament tithe or the New Testament call to generosity, we believe it is the loving command of a God who knows that we need to give for our own good. Financial giving encourages us to trust the Lord as our provider. It is a tangible way that we resist the temptation to store up for ourselves treasures on earth.

WAYS TO GIVE

The New Testament teaches believers to give freely and joyfully to the Lord and not in a way that is to be seen by men. There are three avenues we have created in order to encourage our body to give in this manner:

Give In Service

We pass an offering plate during our worship services.

Give Online

We’ve carefully chosen this service to assist us due to their reputation for safety and minimal costs to the church. At this time, online giving does not allow designated or restricted gifts.

When you click the “Donate” button above, a new browser tab should open. In order to enter your information, please follow the instructions below:

  1. Select a donation amount option, or enter your own desired amount.
  2. Enter the security code you see in the text box (this is for security).
  3. Click the ‘Continue’ button to move to the next page where you will be able to enter your billing information.
  4. On the next page (labeled “Order Information”), you will see and confirm the amount that you have elected to give. Underneath the “Description”, you will be able to provide your credit or debit card information and billing information.
  5. Once you have completed all the required fields (asterisks (*) indicate required fields), please click on the ‘Pay Now’ button.
  6. After you have clicked ‘Pay Now’, the final page you will see is your “Order Confirmation”. Please feel free to print out that confirmation page for your records. Thank you for supporting FBCD!

Time and Talents

Another way to show generosity is by lending your time and talents to further God’s Kingdom. There are only so many hours in a day – how is God leading you to use your time? In what ways has God uniquely gifted you?

We would like to help you use your time and talents to serve God in the way you were wired to do so. Share your talents by getting involved with a ministry or a committee.
